Return & Refund Policy

This Return & Refund Policy explains how DayOneUAE handles returns, exchanges, replacements, cancellations, and refunds for orders placed through our website.

DayOneUAE is a UAE-facing store and aims to handle customer remedies in a manner consistent with applicable UAE consumer protection and eCommerce requirements, including the customer protections referenced under UAE rules governing modern technology-based trade and consumer rights.

Eligibility for Returns

You may request a return where an item arrives damaged, defective, materially different from the description, incomplete, or incorrect. You may also request a return for eligible non-defective products if the item is unused, in saleable condition, and returned with original packaging, accessories, labels, and proof of purchase.

Certain items may be excluded from return or exchange where required for hygiene, safety, health, customization, perishable use, or where the product has clearly been used, installed, damaged by misuse, or altered after delivery.

Return Request Timing

Customers should inspect items promptly after delivery and notify DayOneUAE within a reasonable time if there is a defect, damage, or order issue. Where a return is based on preference rather than defect, the request should be made promptly and before the product has been materially used.

DayOneUAE may set operational return windows for different product types, but any mandatory rights or remedies available under applicable law will continue to apply where required.

Condition of Returned Products

Returned products should be sent back in the same condition in which they were received, together with manuals, accessories, parts, promotional bundles, and original packaging where possible. We may refuse a discretionary return or apply a reduced refund where the item has been materially diminished in value due to handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect it.

Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Items

If an item is defective, damaged in transit, or not the product you ordered, DayOneUAE may offer repair, replacement, store credit, or refund depending on the circumstances, stock availability, inspection outcome, and the remedy required under applicable law.

We may ask you to provide reasonable evidence such as photographs, packaging images, serial numbers, or a brief description of the issue before approving collection, replacement, or refund.

Refund Process

Approved refunds are generally issued back to the original payment method unless another method is required by law or agreed with you. Processing times may vary depending on the bank, card issuer, wallet provider, payment gateway, or payment method used.

Shipping charges, service fees, assembly fees, or expedited delivery charges may be non-refundable where the return is not caused by DayOneUAE or a product defect, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Exchanges and Replacements

If stock is available, DayOneUAE may offer an exchange or replacement instead of a refund where that is practical and acceptable to the customer. If the replacement item is unavailable, we may instead provide another suitable remedy such as refund or store credit.

Order Cancellation

Orders may be cancelled before dispatch where processing has not yet been completed. Once an order has shipped or entered final fulfillment stages, cancellation may no longer be possible and the request may need to be handled as a return subject to this policy.

Rejected or Ineligible Returns

If a return does not meet eligibility requirements, DayOneUAE may reject the return, send the item back, or offer an alternative resolution at its discretion where lawful. This may happen, for example, if the item is clearly used, damaged by customer handling, incomplete, missing accessories, or falls within a non-returnable category.
